Pink-lavender pot with apricot blossoms rising on sculpted stems

The artist

The hands behind the roses

Every piece from Designs by JoJo starts the same way: a simple vessel, and a table covered in clay petals.

The flowers are not molded or cast. Each rose is built petal by petal, curled and pinched into shape, then set onto the vessel one bloom at a time, with leaves and vines shaped and attached by hand. Interiors are glazed so they pool into deep color, and rose tips are finished in bronze, cobalt, or gold.

Because of how they are made, no two pieces can ever be alike. When one finds a home, that design is gone for good.
